Eastern Developments is an Egyptian company that operates under the name Al Sharqiya for Contracting, with its projects concentrated in Sheikh Zayed and specifically on the Riviera axis. Its best-known work is the Genova compound and Genova West, alongside new commercial and residential projects in preparation.<\/p>\n

About Eastern Developments<\/h2>\n

The company combines contracting with real estate development, so it builds its own projects rather than only launching them. Its Sheikh Zayed schemes cluster around the Riviera axis, one of the main entrances to the city. As a result the company has been known for Genova more than for any other name, and Genova West followed as a newer project with a higher density of units.<\/p>\n

Genova Sheikh Zayed<\/h2>\n

The company’s best-known project, it sits in Sheikh Zayed City at the Riviera entrance on the 26th of July Corridor and the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road. It covers about 30 feddans, with about 70% set aside for green and water areas. Genova West and the company’s new projects<\/h2>\n

Genova West is on the main Riviera axis in Sheikh Zayed, on about 20 feddans with a total land area of 85,092 sqm. It has 768 residential units in varied sizes, with investments above EGP 3 billion. In September 2025 the company announced that the water, sewage and irrigation networks were complete, while the electricity and fire networks and the finishing of building entrances and units were in progress, with a partial handover ahead of schedule. Alongside it, the company has announced Eastern El Ghoul Mall, a completed commercial and administrative building of about 1,250 sqm, the commercial Eastern Plaza of about 8,000 sqm, and the residential Sol project on about 30 feddans with twin houses and townhouses from 280 sqm and 8-year installments.<\/p>\n
